Ingredients
- 2 cassavas (chopped)
- ½ fresh coconut flesh (chopped)
- 1 cup Evaporated Milk
- 1 cup pumpkin (chopped)
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ lb Golden Brand margarine (2 sticks)
- 1 tsp ginger (grated)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp cloves (powdered)
- ¼ Maraschino cherries (chopped)
- Raisins (as desired)
- 1 cup Condensed Milk
Directions
- Chop the cassava into small pieces
- Blend in food processor
- Blend coconut flesh with Evaporated Milk
- Add to blended cassava
- Blend chopped pumpkin
- Add to mixture
- Add sugar and continue to blend
- Add ½ lb Golden Brand margarine and continue to blend
- Add ginger, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and cloves
- Add raisins and chopped cherries and mix
- Add Condensed Milk
- Grease a baking pan and preheat the oven 350F
- Pour mixture into baking pan
- Fill a foil baking pan with water and place under the pone dish in the oven to prevent burning of pone
- Bake for 1 hour
- Remove from oven and let it sit for 30 minutes
