Fruit and Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup Avelina Brand Oats
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup Skimmed Milk
- 1 to 2 tbsps maple syrup or honey
- Oatmeal toppings - Coconut chips Slivered almonds Chia seeds Mixed Berries or Fruit of your Choice
Directions
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to boil
- Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir in the Avelina oats, cinnamon, and salt
- Cook, stirring frequently, until the oats are thick and creamy, about 10 minutes
- Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and Skimmed Milk
- Stir in the maple syrup or honey
- Divide the oatmeal into bowls and top with desired toppings
