Fruit and Oatmeal Breakfast Bowl

fruit and oatmeal


  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup Avelina Brand Oats
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup Skimmed Milk
  • 1 to 2 tbsps maple syrup or honey
  • Oatmeal toppings - Coconut chips Slivered almonds Chia seeds Mixed Berries or Fruit of your Choice


  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to boil
  2. Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir in the Avelina oats, cinnamon, and salt
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, until the oats are thick and creamy, about 10 minutes
  4. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and Skimmed Milk
  5. Stir in the maple syrup or honey
  6. Divide the oatmeal into bowls and top with desired toppings
